  • 1 rack baby back ribs
  • 3 tbsp Cracked Pepper Sweet 'n' Heat
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce, optional

Directions

  1. Heat the oven or smoker to 275°F. Remove the membrane from the ribs.
  2. Coat lightly with mustard, then season with the rub.
  3. Cook meat-side up for 2½ hours. Wrap with apple juice and cook 45 to 60 minutes more.
  4. Unwrap, brush with sauce if using, and cook 10 minutes until tacky. Rest before slicing.
